The Metabolite worksheet is built to be used with the bacterial database, BacDive.
You pick your microbe and fill out the sheet with the microbes preferred:
Food sources (metabolites)
Temperature range
Oxygen availability
There is also space for personal notes. Some microbes have particularities that benefit from this space.
By identifying what a microbe prefers, you can infer what kind of fermentation method will work to cultivate the microbe.
Sample food sources and notes on those food sources are provided for every option to help you know how to ferment the microbe.
